Times, Not One is a handcrafted wooden object designed to hold a bookmark, card, or small paper object upright. Functioning both as a bookmark stand and as a small sculpture, it brings together different layers of time: the life of the tree, the maker’s hand, the act of reading, and the everyday life of the person who uses it.Each piece is individually made from Korean hardwood, preserving the natural grain, tone, and character of the wood. Variations in grain, color, small cracks, and surface marks make every piece slightly different. It may be used as a functional object, while also standing independently as a sculptural presence when not in use.
