After its launch in 1968, the Citroën Méhari was an immediate commercial success. However, by the early 1980s sales had collapsed. Citroën then used limited editions to breathe new life into the Méhari, launching the Méhari Azur in March 1983. This summer version features a unique two-tone colour scheme of white and blue. The body is mainly white, with only the doors, grille, headlight surrounds and centre pillar in blue, along with stripes on the bonnet. The Méhari Azur also has a specific hood system with an articulated blue canvas top and special white-painted perforated wheel rims. Inside, the Méhari Azur features blue and white striped fabric seats.
