Product description
Born from two blocks of rock crystal, brought together to become one.The making begins not with the carving, but with listening to the stone—reading its natural fractures, its hidden lines, its imperfections. Each block is studied carefully, because within crystal, a single mistake can determine everything that follows. The form is then carved in two parts: the flower above and the sculpted base below. Each petal is shaped by hand, drawing inspiration from the timeless language of temple carvings. Once the two forms are complete, they are brought together, their separate pieces becoming a single sculptural expression.Around the waist sits a delicate band of tourmalines. No two stones are alike; each carries its own colour, pattern and character, adding an element of chance to the precision of the carving.A hand-braided traditional cord completes the piece, finished with a cascade of freshwater pearls. The braid follows an old technique once used in jewellery—an increasingly rare craft, preserved here as part of the object itself.Weeks of patient handwork go into every piece.Nothing about the stone is uniform. Nothing about the making is mechanical. Two blocks. Many hands. One form.Rock crystal, tourmaline and freshwater pearls
