Large silver-plated serving tray, probably from the 20th century. Rectangular shape with rounded corners, molded border with rows of pearls and background entirely decorated with relief decoration. Flowers, foliage, volutes and curved lines make up an Art Nouveau decor. This decorative vocabulary takes up the plant patterns and curves characteristic of Art Nouveau, a movement that developed in Europe around 1890-1910, without allowing the tray to be linked to this period. In the absence of an identified marking, no more precise manufacture or dating can be attributed to this copy. The dense relief, the patina of the metal and the areas of oxidation produce beautiful material effects and accentuate the reading of the decoration. It can now be used as a serving tray or bar tray, or as a stand for glassware, candle holders, and other items. Dimensions: length 46 cm; width 34 cm; height 1 cm. Weight: 2 kg.
