My artistic work revolves around two strands: I express myself not only through sculpture in the literal sense of the word, but also through utilitarian sculptural forms that I commonly refer to as ‘containers’. What links these two strands of my creative work is the material, my primary means of expression: CERAMICS. I refer to the utilitarian ceramic sculptural forms I create – such as vases, bowls, dishes, jugs, chalices and cups – as ‘containers’. This is the main focus of my formal exploration. I experiment with form and colour. My ‘containers’ are also sculptures, even though they serve a practical purpose.
