Claire Horsten is a Belgian ceramicist and interior architect who has been developing a distinctive practice in ceramics and lighting since 2019, with a keen sensitivity to material, form and atmosphere. Her Leo collection, short for Light Emitting Object, consists of rounded lamps in unglazed clay and natural earth tones, where light is approached as both functional and sculptural. The shades were originally formed on the wheel, while the base was built entirely by hand, giving each piece a tactile, hand-crafted and individual character.
