Brown sandstone candlestick, probably from the second half of the 20th century. Tall shape with a flared base, narrow shaft and circular receptacle for a candle candle, complemented by a curved lateral handle. Thick sandstone with an irregular surface, with shiny dark brown enamel on the upper part and more matt areas that reveal the natural color of the earth. The traces of turning and the irregularities in the workmanship probably indicate artisanal manufacturing, in the spirit of the productions of utility ceramics, which experienced a major revival from the years 1960-1970. The handle shape takes up the ancient typology of the portable candle holder, formerly used to move a candle from one room to another. Its size and weight ensure good stability on a table, console or shelf. Dimensions: height 19 cm; width 14 cm. Weight: 1 kg.
