The black of the wood comes from no dye — the oak took it on over millennia in water, earth and minerals. Baltic amber is the fossilised resin of ancient forests, around 40 million years old. Turquoise brings a cool, marine freshness that contrasts beautifully with the warmth of the amber. The circle draws the eye to the centre of the composition, so the material takes the lead.
