The oak's deep black is entirely natural: it formed without any dye, through long contact between the wood, water and minerals. Natural Baltic amber — fossilised resin from forests some 40 million years old — brings warm, honeyed light into the composition. Sapphire blue is deep and noble; in the evening it almost merges with the black of the oak, while in sunlight it glows from within. The circle draws the eye to the centre of the composition, so the material takes the lead. About 40 mm across — clearly visible, yet comfortable to wear. A high-gloss finish emphasises the depth of the materials.
