The black of the wood comes from no dye — the oak took it on over millennia in water, earth and minerals. The gold-tone flakes settle freely, so every piece carries its own pattern of light. Fine particles set in the resin create a star-dust effect in the light — the impression of a million stars in the night sky. The rectangular form is stable and legible, yet thoroughly contemporary.
