Baltic amber is the fossilised resin of ancient forests, around 40 million years old. The gold-tone flakes settle freely, so every piece carries its own pattern of light. Fine particles set in the resin create a star-dust effect in the light — the impression of a million stars in the night sky. The drop tapers upward and leads the eye towards the face.
