An amber map set in black. Amber Atlas is a low table with a soft, almost round outline — about 104 × 94 cm, with a 10 cm thick top — in which ancient bog oak, from deposits radiocarbon-dated to around 6,000 years, meets clear resin and natural Baltic amber. The amber, fossilised resin from forests some 40 million years old, lies across the top like islands on a map — hence the name. A high gloss brings out the honey and brown tones of the amber against the natural, undyed black of the wood. It is a table that draws hands and eyes alike — everyone wants to touch the map. A one-of-a-kind piece: the amber pattern and the grain of the oak will never be repeated. ✦ Craftsmanship Handmade in the Zona di Lusso studio in Poland · Ancient bog oak in its natural, undyed black · Every piece has its own grain — small differences are a feature of the material, not a flaw ✦ Care Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and wipe dry · Place hot dishes on mats · Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and harsh cleaning agents Atelier In the Zona di Lusso atelier, we create unique interior furnishings and objects — dining tables, coffee tables, consoles, mirrors, decorative objects and forms designed for exceptional spaces.
