Antique silver-plated candle holder, probably from the first half of the 20th century. Wide circular base with steps, slender shaft composed of a succession of baluster volumes and flared bobeche intended to receive a candle candle. The silhouette takes up the classic shapes of silver and silver-plated candlesticks used in tableware in the 19th and 20th centuries, with a very simple decoration that emphasizes the proportions and profile of the shaft. The metal has a gray patina, darker areas, small stains and traces of use that give relief to the surface. Its classic and simple design works particularly well alone or in a composition of mismatched candlesticks, with antique wood, natural linen, ceramic or a more contemporary table. In the absence of an identifiable stamp or marking, no precise manufacture can be attributed to this copy. Dimensions: height 21 cm; diameter 9.5 cm. Weight: 500 g.
