Steel Deck begins with the table’s most elemental structure: one broad plane extending across the room, supported by two solid surfaces. From this simple arrangement of planes and lines, the design creates a strong sculptural presence through proportion and material contrast. The substantial stainless-steel top establishes a clear horizontal axis, while the wooden supports below act as both a stable structure and a pair of grounded sculptural forms. Cool steel and warm timber are not treated as separate decorative elements, but brought together within one continuous composition. Along the outer edges, gentle curves soften the direct geometry and introduce a subtle sense of movement. These small transitions continue from the ends of the top to the corners of the supports, changing the impression of the table as it is viewed from different angles. Steel Deck is both a practical surface for everyday use and an architectural object that gives the room a distinct center of gravity.
