This time, I was inspired by a photograph of mushrooms with strikingly graphic shapes and colors! This textile creation is a free interpretation of the fascinating world of living things—of the forest and the earth. I sought to capture the profusion, irregularity, and sense of movement found in a colony of colorful mushrooms. Here, wool becomes an organic material: it unfurls, layers, and intertwines, creating a rich, almost sculptural surface. The intentionally contrasting colors—aubergine, violet, pink, orange, yellow, green, and natural tones—evoke the diversity and chromatic richness of nature. Long fibers give the piece a lively, ever-moving appearance, while its volume invites touch. Through this work, I aim to blur the boundaries between weaving, sculpture, and textile installation, transforming a soft, warm material into an organic, contemporary form. This piece was handcrafted using only merino wool and baby alpaca. A unique textile creation, made with care and love.
