This textile work is an exploration of material and sensation. I chose to work exclusively with luxurious wools, combined with natural fibers such as linen thread, hemp, and raffia. This encounter—between soft, enveloping, warm materials and textures that are more raw, organic, and authentic—creates a dialogue between delicacy and character. The relief, layering, and movement of the fibers invite both the eye and the touch. Through this piece, I seek to reveal the richness of natural materials, allowing each one to express its own distinct personality. The composition evokes a textile landscape where the softness of wool mingles with the strength of plant-based fibers, striking a balance between sophistication and simplicity. There is a desire to infuse this weaving with movement, while retaining an inherently wild and authentic quality—a subtle blend of raw and soft elements. To bring light to the creation, I have incorporated gold-leaf accents at its core. More than just a tapestry, this work is an invitation to feel the material, to discover the beauty of contrasts, and to experience the poetry of fibers.
