Japanese Tree is a sculptural floor lamp that evokes the silhouette of a tree in a vertical and refined composition. Its ash body, sculpted by hand, is burned on the surface and then scraped. This work reveals the veins of the wood and creates a contrast between the depth of the black and the nuances of the material. Five blown glass elements emerge from the branched structure like small luminous blossoms. Their clarity contrasts with the dark wood and highlights the balance between material, light and video. When switched on, Japanese Tree diffuses a soft and enveloping light through its five fireplaces. Extinct, it maintains the graphic presence of a sculpture marked by fire and craftsmanship.
