Dirk vander KOOIJ created his studio (2009) with the simple idea that plastic, when recycled rather than thrown away, becomes an honest and durable material with infinite creative possibilities. Equipped with impressive machines developed by him and surrounded by a joyful band of passionate art craftsmen, Dirk has brought to life a sumptuous collection of chairs, tables and fixtures all from the transformation of the most unexpected materials, such as refrigerator interiors or CDs.
