Product description
Among the ruins of a temple built by Akhenaten at Thebes, a set of colossal broken statues of the king were found, including this head. Abandoning the idealist canons of royal representations, artists will seek to grasp the essential truth of forms and merge the feminine and masculine forms. The representation of the king is then transcended. This head shows us a very elongated face, thick and sensual lips, a prominent chin and eyes of stretched almonds. Despite this, the portrait is marked by a certain elegance and a lot of mysticism!
