Colima acrobat
This product is not available on MOM anymore.
Product description
The Colima culture is designated by the name of the valley where their pottery was found. Having left no architectural relics, we do not know the name by which it was designated. The artists Colima produced ceramics showing nude or dressed contorsionnists practicing "reversed flexibility" exercises and usually wearing a headdress. It is believed that these could be dances performed during religious ceremonies or figures practiced in traditional ball games. The artist has chosen to feature a turtle at the same time as the loincloth. More Ceramic
