Paper-Wood is a completely new type of plywood with colored recycled paper sandwiched in-between. The beautiful stripes that appear at the cut cross section impart expression and texture that can’t be obtained with finishings such as coatings. The material was originally developed by PLYWOOD laboratory in 2008, and has been used in numerous projects in Japan by noted designers and architects to this day.
