“All My Life”, homophonic to ‘yi bei zi (a cup)’ in Chinese, is series of drinkware designed by artist Qu Guangci, with the intention to last throughout one’s whole life. “All My Life” cups are all handmade with a fineness akin to making artworks, and with a commitment of a lifelong love. Our lives are tortuous, laden with hardships, and neither are the cups perfect and smooth. Every turn and arc of the line, all the ups and downs of the plane, are finalized with careful consideration, a reflection of the artist’s own insights on life.
