Tim Breukers and Niek Peters developed the “breekijzer” in 2019 during a second stay at the European Ceramic Work Center in Oistewijk, Netherlands In their work, they often emphasize the vulnerability of ceramics. This is certainly the case in this project. At first, “breekijzer” seems to be an old rusty presser foot, but to take a closer look at it it turns out to be made of ceramics.
