Product description

These iron reserves, called Liganda by the Topoké populations in R.D.Congo, had a high monetary value. Their realization required a great skill of the blacksmiths and a constancy of the rules of manufacture. Their oblong shape flared on the bottom and striated are characteristic. The iron reserve currency system is very popular in Africa but the Liganda are among the most impressive.
