Tuareg from Niger, Dorsé from Ethiopia, Nupe from Nigeria, Wagogo and Kaguru from Tanzania or Shiluk from South Sudan ... the calabash, fruit of a tropical tree, is frequently used for the making of usual object: its shape, its weight, its solidity, its watertightness makes it an ideal element for the realization of container. Their natural shape, sometimes their decor, their color and patina acquired by their use over time make them remarkable and touching objects.
