Don't we talk about the “Castaing style”? Antique dealer and decorator, Madeleine Castaing (1894-1992), the “Magician” of decorative arts, imposed her claw for nearly 60 years. Discarding fashion, assuming her extravagance, she did not hesitate to mix 19th century decorative styles: Empire inspired faux leopard motifs, directoire diamonds and palmettes, Biedermeier curves. Codimat Collection publishes from the beginning the rugs and carpets of Madeleine Castaing.
