These cotton muslin "tarkashi" pareos, with their rows of openwork embroidery is just perfect when the summer heat is at its peak. I discovered these stoles during a trip to Pakistan over 20 years ago. They are entirely hand embroidered and the traditional craft is passed down by women from generation to generation.
