Product description
The blade is called Honyaki. Honyaki is made of only carbon steel. It is very difficult to make Honyaki, so there are only a few of artisans who can make Honyaki in Sakai City. The artisan put on Mt. Fuji pattern on the blade. Also, an artisan of Urushi (Japanese lacquer) decorated Urushi of Mt. Fuji on the handle and the sheath. This is the collaboration work of different types of artisans. *Sakai is one of the most famous knife-production city in Japan and Sakai has 600 years history of making authentic knives.
