Snail sculpture in lacquered walnut, decorated with egg shell and gilded with gold leaf. Calculated with great care, the interior captures and reflects the rays of light to give it a soft luminosity as if the work was illuminated from the inside. Carefully placed egg shell chips decorate its surface. Influenced by Art Nouveau masters such as Majorelle, Gallé and Vallin, the artist sublimes the organic forms of this style to reinvent them into a minimalist version that fits into the 21st century.
