Product description

Produced in Rikkagama in Miyagi Prefecture, Yusetsu is characterized by a crystal glaze that is somewhat akin to snow crystal. As the pattern is formed in the kiln, every piece has a unique finish. It is also an embodiment of a mysterious process in which black Ogatsu Stone, mixed in the porcelain clay and the glaze, turns white when fired.
