Paulownia furniture AZUMA is a furniture family business which exclusively uses Paulownia wood, a tree species used for chest drawers in Japan for centuries to store kimonos. In their workshops, each piece of furniture is perfected with the meticulousness of traditional techniques such as Mizugumi, or Arigumi joinery wood techniques. Today, Azuma creates furniture for modern lifestyles such as SAMA, a contemporary and unique chest of drawers whose shape can be playfully adapted for people’s needs.
