Matthieu Cossé's work is a permanent experiment around the questions of drawing and figuration. In recent years, he has been conducting research on ceramics, among others. Each stage of this production was made by hand, based on the artist's original drawings, by Sambuco in the village of Deruta in Umbria, one of the main homes of the Italian “majolica” since the Renaissance.
