Product description

One of the most famous Dutch artists in art history; Piet Mondriaan (1872 - 1944). During his career Mondriaan went through a unique style development. He developed from Impressionism, through Symbolism and Cubism to his own form of abstract painting. He is seen as a pioneer of abstract and non-figurative art. Especially his later geometric-abstract artworks, with horizontal and vertical black lines and primary colours (red, blue, yellow), are world famous. A true source of inspiration for many architects and designers.
