Kurdi-baft carpets are very distinguished carpets, woven in Iran with extremely good quality wool. Talented weavers of Kurdish tribe combine kilim and pile weaving techniques to create a multi textured surface in one loom, giving carpets a three dimensional look. The characteristics of their design are stylized ornamental motifs or usually plain color backgrounds outlined by fine squire motifs. These carpets create a lyrical and cozy atmosphere and work well with a range of home styles.
