Product description
The stylized lonsang pattern are a venerable decorative. During the Heian period (794-1185), water chestnuts became a popular courteous drawing. Hanabishi or “flowering water chestnuts” are an interpretation of the four-petal karakusa arabesque. Here the lines of the hanabishi pattern were inspired by the vitality of flowering plants that endures in an uninterrupted chain. The wavy pattern represents the shores where water chestnuts grow and evokes the role of water in the life cycle. More Other wall decoration
