San Paolo Hospital
Style, hygiene et resistance for patients
For this ambitious project to extend the Emergency Department of the San Paolo Hospital in Milan, the choice fell to Marca Corona porcelain stoneware floor and wall tiles, practical to clean and able to guarantee maximum safety, hygiene and resistance. The new wing of the hospital is designed to be welcoming, easy to get around and safe for patients. The facility now has a large reception area, 9 examination rooms, 2 operating theatres, 1 radiation shielded room, numerous monitored waiting areas equipped with stretchers, bathrooms and areas for supporting healthcare and administrative activities, such as workstations for nurses, storerooms, offices, archives and a food area. The 3 Marca Corona collections selected can be found in all the areas of the new Emergency Department. The Arkistone stone-effect floors create a pleasing geometric and colour effect in the reception area, the waiting rooms and all the patient treatment rooms. The staff areas, such as the offices and the kitchen, are tiled with the wood-effect Lagom floor tiles and the Color Mix wall tiles, in warm, neutral shades to transmit a calm, welcoming sensation. The toilets feature Color Mix floor and wall tiles in original colour combinations.
