Country house in the Empordà

Decorating a 1890 country house in the Empordà, Catalonia north-east Spain

We were asked to decorate a 1890 country house in the Empordà area of Catalonia for a family celebration. The house is a mixture of rustic and classic styles, so we used our beautiful handmade ceramic pots as candles and together with plants we dressed each room in style. We used the large ceramic vases at the front door to welcome the famIly as they arrived. Each bedroom was decorated according to the colours of the textiles and the living room areas were decorated in neutral colours to combine with the stone walls. The project worked out really well and the family felt very comfortable with the way we decorated the house for the occasion.
