Outdoor rug for honeyandspice project

Customised outdoor rug mad of recycled plastic bottles

For a terrace project of the honeyandspice studio Wiesbaden (www.honeyandspiece.de) we produced a customised rug, which can be used for outdoor. The 300x400cm rug is entirely made of recycled plastic bottles, but it is very soft to the touch and feels more like wool than like plastic. The fiber is UV treated so the colours won't fade in the sun and the rug is certified by GoodWeave (www.goodweave.org), which is an organisation which wants to put a stop to child labour and which make sure that the weavers are working under fair and safe conditions. We would like to show our customers that it is possible to create something beautiful even by respecting our planet with its inhabitants. The model DOTS is one of our bestselling rugs. It is available in three different colours. The client needed a specific colour for the project and informed us about the Pantone colour to be used for the project.
