Zannier Hotels - Phum Baitang
Meet the Cambodian tradition
Phum Baitang − or ‘the green village’ − is a 5-star luxury resort near Siem Reap in Cambodia. Set within 8 hectares of lush gardens and rice paddies, this elegant retreat is a gateway to the Angkor World Heritage Site, the capital of the Khmer Empire. The resort is composed of 45 spacious authentic villas with private terraces and pools. Each villa is designed within traditions of Cambodian wooden housing where raw materials are soften by natural shades in decoration and serenity of the environment. The whole concept of Phum Baitang reflects the key principle behind every project of the Zannier family borrowed from Leonardo da Vinci : "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication". For this project, Thierry Grundman sourced specific ancient furniture that belonged to Chinese scholars in 18-19 C. Cupboards, armchairs, coffee tables, consoles and benches as well as multiple decoration items with a singular patina found their place in this spectacular resort considered as one of the most beautiful in the world. A 100 percent match with the Atmosphere d'ailleurs DNA !
