Hullett House 1881

LALA CURIO LIMITED

LALA CURIO Narrates a Love Story at the Wedding Salon | Hullett House 1881

Canton Road, Kowloon (1 March 2016) – interior design & décor brand LALA CURIO creates the Wedding Salon at the historical 1881 Heritage, Hullett House Hotel. Launching in time for the wedding season, this unique venue creates an intimate and elegant ambience to ensure couples have a most memorable celebration. Cascading wisteria and begonia garlands flow down from the ceiling as a wedding archway opening into a splendid main room with an authentic fireplace and intact architectural woodwork from the colonial times. Magnificent floor to ceiling silver-leaf Chinoiserie wallpaper depicting a love story between a bride & groom in a bamboo forest wraps around the fanciful space. Bespoke illustrations for the Wedding Salon carries from the walls to the hand-painted reception table and sheer silk screens. Further detail is added with enchanting and vibrantly hand-painted blue birds fetching a diamond ring insinuating a joyous fantasy for the bride’s long awaited moment. LALA CURIO bespoke illustrations for the Wedding Salon narrates a love story through décor. The color tone of feathery grey and pearlescent white is inviting and sophisticated. Ornate beaded chandelier, authentic antique chairs in the style of Napolean III, cosy bégeres in silver satin, juxtaposed with a modern LALA CURIO horse-hoof side table against lavishly framed Venetian mirror and plush satin drapery set a romantic tone for the couple to imagine Hullett House as their wedding venue. The Wedding Salon has been transformed into a world of poetic imaginations for the couple to plan their wedding at Hullett House. Hullett House's celebration of colonial Hong Kong sensibilities is seamlessly in line with LALA CURIO’s philosophy in preserving heritage with a whimsical revival. Situated in a grand white-stucco building that was formerly the Marine Police Headquarters on Canton Road, Hullett House is housed within one of the rare Landmark buildings of Hong Kong. Located in the Tsim Sha Tsui’s romantic historical landmark 1881 Heritage, Hullett House has been transformed from the 132-year-old former Marine Police Headquarters into the perfect setting for a colonial inspired wedding. The hotel grounds offer both indoor and outdoor venue options for hosting wedding ceremonies and banquets, Chinese and Western culinary delights, 10 individually designed hotel suites, and professional wedding consultation services to create the ultimate dream wedding experience for guests.
