Marianolight - Dior Christmas Facades
"The Dior Christmas collection is inspired by the Apulian art of illumination: tree decorations, table furniture and furnishing accessories in sparkling colors warm up the atmosphere of the holidays as seen in the Patronal Festivals in Salento ."
The artistic director of the women's collections of Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri, wanted to pay homage to her father's land, the one that gave her birth and where she cultivated a love for local crafts. Therefore the famous Fashion house has chosen to celebrate the Christmas holiday season of 2020-2021, by decorating their facades with the traditional artisan luminarie lights from Salento, in Puglia, hand made by the historic company Marianolight. A unique holiday spirit with an explosion of colourful lights in the Dior boutique around the world, among these:Paris, Geneva, Moscow, Milan and Rome. The luminarie, beautiful product of fine Italian craftsmanship, deriving from the baroque history of lower Puglia, just like in Piazza Duomo in Lecce, where the special Cruise 2020 show of Dior was held in July this year.
