Architect Jean-Philippe Nuel selects Cosentino products for the Hélianthal Thalazur hotel
Located in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the Hélianthal Thalazur hotel called on interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel to carry out renovations. Unveiled on July 29, its visitors can observe its historic architecture inspired by Mallet-Stevens preserved. Jean-Philippe Nuel has selected Cosentino to enhance the hotel spa and restaurant tables with Silestone® surfaces. Ideally located, the Hélianthal Thalazur hotel enjoys a privileged location on the Basque coast, in the heart of the pedestrian area of the seaside resort of Saint-Jean-De-Luz. After 30 years of existence, the owners have chosen to renovate, retaining the architecture inspired by the 20s of Mallet-Stevens. Jean-Philippe Nuel was called upon to modernize the whole, in particular the hotel spa but also the restaurant tables. The goal is to combine the ambivalence of Basque architecture with colors and graphic materials with oceanic inspirations. Materials were an anchor in the renovation of the place. The architect called on Cosentino to beautify the spa and restaurant at the Hélianthal Thalazur hotel. Jean-Philippe Nuel was keen to favor materials that meet aesthetic needs, but above all technical and quality. Among these characteristics, the need to get closer to a natural look, ease of maintenance to meet the uses of this type of place, while guaranteeing increased resistance and a design that integrates perfectly with the space. To do this, the hybrid surfaces Silestone® by Cosentino were used for the basins and the coating of the spa furniture, selected in particular. The famous architect chose to use Silestone® lagoon to enhance the 100 spa basins and the Tebas color for the covering of the furniture for a surface area of 30 m². The restaurant tables have also passed through the hands of the architect, dressed in the Statuario colourway. According to Jean-Philippe Nuel, Cosentino products meet both technical and aesthetic requirements for the hotel industry, particularly in high-end establishments.
