dumæ was founded by Kym Gold, whose career in the apparel world, including her work as a Co Founder of True Religion, shaped her instinct for form, texture, and considered design. The name reflects her story: Point Dume in Malibu, where she grew up, joined with Mae, a tribute to motherhood and the women who shape both her and Partner and COO Sakshi Khurana. Kym and Sakshi share a natural alignment in how they see design, shaped by years in the apparel world where detail, craft, and a deep obsession with product defined their work. dumæ carries that same philosophy forward, expressed through new materials and sculptural forms. Their partnership is grounded in trust, and a shared vision for creating pieces meant to endure and be passed down.
