1930'S
To dress a staircase with a bold, hypnotic piece that becomes an architectural element.
Inspired by a motif by William Morris, the flowers bloom freely from the heart of the composition. Almost undisciplined, they capture the eye until they become hypnotic, as their owner described them. Volumes interact with textures in a play of contrasts between deep greens and shades of red, ranging from vermilion to burgundy. Conceived as an anchor point within a staircase, this creation goes beyond the simple idea of decoration. It embodies a choice, an intention, a way of inhabiting space.
