Every Pin Tells a Story

On the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the Kyiv Metro, in collaboration with the Ukrainian brand Enjoy The Wood, launched a moving social project called “Map of Dreams”, dedicated to the idea of a united and peaceful Ukraine. The centerpiece of the initiative was Enjoy The Wood’s signature handcrafted wooden map of Ukraine, transformed into an interactive canvas of collective hope, where metro passengers could mark the city connected to their personal story: a place of birth, residence, or a place they dream of returning to after the war. Using blue and yellow markers, participants were invited to leave their own mark on the map. As the map filled with pins, it became a living symbol of a shared mission: a country united, strengthened, and living in peace.
