This exceptional Lebanese chef, author of a number of cookbooks, and founder of the "Make food not war" NGO, has just launched a delightful new venture in Paris, the city he loves most. A few weeks ago, in the 11th arrondissement, he opened a family-owned restaurant that reveals yet again the diversity of Lebanon's gastronomic heritage. Like his Tawlet restaurant in Beirut, you can enjoy honest, generously portioned, no-fuss dishes within a simple setting that highlight traditional recipes from various regions in his country, based around a "homestyle" buffet. This is lively, generous cuisine, masterfully crafted by Lebanese mothers and grandmothers who live in the French capital. On the ground floor, a food shop also offers a condensed version of the finest products from the Land of the Cedar, as well as a catering service.
