Slow hospitality - What's new? @Maison&Objet Paris
As a way to responsibly and sustainably reconnect with local landscapes and cultures, discover beforehand a selection of products from François Delclaux's Slow Hospitality exhibition at Maison & Objet Paris in January 2023.
Mandacaru Side Table
A tribute to the work The Moon (1928) by Tarsila do Amaral, which established the Brazilian artist as one of the most important and timeless international modern painters. The landscape that extends over a night of waning moon is delicately represented through a poetic detail, a small brass sculpture. The elements of the landscape are represented with soft volumes and smooth contours, evoking an enchanted and surreal world of the artist. The piece was selected by the curators of the Luxembourg Museum in Paris for the exhibition “Tarsila do Amaral | Peindre Le Brésil Moderne”.
Slow hospitality by François Delclaux
It is urgent to slow down. This is essentially the message of François Delclaux through his 'Slow Hospitality' space. Hospitality as a refuge from the acceleration of the world, but also as a way to responsibly and sustainably reconnect with local landscapes and cultures. By boarding his night train, a perfect symbol of slow travel, one discovers three thematic destinations one after the other as desirable horizons: tropical modernism, forest glamping and shoreline dream.
