Chair Tal
The Tal chair designed by Léonard Kadid is made of aluminium and wood. The T aluminium profiles reinforce the plywood seat and allow the solid wooden legs to lock on them. This structural principle defines its entire geometry giving a radical yet subtle presence. Easy to assemble, the chair is flat packed.
DUOMO TABLE LAMPS
Boasting distinctive features that make this collection stand out, Duomo combines references to the lighting trends of the 1970s with clean, minimal lines and geometrical volumes, as well as unique materials, resulting in a sculptural luminous appearance. Featuring iconic curved bronze lampshades and plinths, these lamps sit upon bases covered with woven rattan, which provides the pieces with a lighter, informal feeling. These lamps cast a soft ambient light that's ideal for reading and lounging.
Charles Kalpakian, Strong impressions
After honing his skills with Ora Ito and Christophe Pillet, Charles Kalpakian established his studio in 2011 and developed personal projects that blended Eastern and European inspirations. He then crossed paths with gallerist Béatrice Saint-Laurent, instantly seduced by his plural culture. "A determining meeting and an engaged woman who encouraged me to deepen my formal and narrative language." Very quickly, he followed up with successes with the Cinétisme wall shelves, bold-colored microarchitectures published by La chance, or with the rotating Tube appliques, to be found at Nemo Lighting. At the last Maison & Objet salon, his geometric plaster appliques, baptized Soul - which evoke his hometown, Beirut, in pieces - were widely acclaimed at the DCW stand. An editor with whom he continues a fruitful collaboration while waiting to self-publish his first collection of floor lamps and coffee tables.
