Equivocal Rug
Initiator of Op Art, Josef Albers then examines the interaction of colors between them to explore the effects of optics in this series called “Homage to the Square”. From this portfolio, the Equivocal rug is the adaptation of a 1962 drawing faithfully restored with hand-dyed wool by Christopher Farr Editions in collaboration with the Joseph and Anni Albers Foundation.
Bilia
Borosilicate glass tumblers, with a clear or coloured marble (white, black, amber, blue, pink, green, black or golden yellow) placed in the bottom. The bottles have a clear glass body and a white, black, blue, pink, green, black or golden yellow stopper. Enriching the Bilia collection with new products is a natural process. This has resulted in: biscuit jar, two multipurpose containers with a lid (with and without handles), an egg cup, which can also be used as a shot glass; a serving stand in two sizes; a cup and a small plate with handles, both available in two sizes.
Full Rug
Through the series “Homage to the Square” Josef Albers studies the interaction of colors between them when flat colors juxtaposed in concentric squares create an illusion of recoil or advancement. The Full rug, made of hand-dyed wool, comes from this series in a faithful adaptation of a 1962 design developed in collaboration with the Joseph and Anni Albers Foundation.
