Laurence Vauclair, a life dedicated to artistic ceramics
Laurence Vauclair is a playful, enthusiastic enthusiast who, with her husband Denis Rouquette, opened her first gallery at the Clignancourt flea market in the 90s. A chic and wildly romantic boudoir in which she presented rattan furniture and artistic ceramics from the 19th century, which for her were the embodiment of French elegance and art de vivre. Building on her success, in 2003 she opened a second space in Paris's coveted 7th arrondissement, where she exhibits exceptional pieces that collectors love. This year, the showcase celebrates its twentieth anniversary, with an exciting program of festivities! Starting with Le Printemps de la Barbotine (until the end of July), an event at which she will present a series of tables drawn from all angles, full of charm and whimsy, before taking part in Paris Design Week in September. Following in the footsteps of Laura Gonzales and Sandra Benhamou, decorator and historian Emilie Bonaventure will be setting the scene for a fantasized Japan in the style of Madame Butterfly's boudoir.
